Why? /// 12:50 AM

i love my dearest silly mum. She just cracks me up.
Unknowingly, she has said, "The car was almost knocked down by the man." instead of the opposite way round, and had all of us laughing in the car.

it's close to 1 am now and i will be boarding the plane in less than 24 hours' time.
So that leaves less than one day. Less than 24 hours to be with my family.

I really do love my sister, even though she irritates me at times. but yesterday she said sth that touched me deeply.

"Dont stay at home. I'm gonna spend my time crying and moping around," i was telling my sis.
"It's alright. I'll cry with you," she replied.

Ok, then this conversation got two fools crying all over again.

And later in the night, when we were about to go to sleep,
I whispered "I love you" to her. And i really meant it.
After what seems like eternity later, she whispered back "I love you too". Her voice shaky and sounded as if it's on the verge of breaking down. It really broke my heart.

Why is this 12-day trip causing so much misery? i had been on other trips with friends, schools, and aunts before. and i had survived those trips. sometimes even forgetting that my homeland is in Singapore. OOPS. but now, why am i feeling so lost and empty? It's as if im never gonna see them again. It is only now that i realised how much they mean to me. They are like a large part of my past, present and future.

Right now, all i can think of is that im kinda glad they are not going to the airport with me tml. I'd not know what i'll do when we part. Perhaps, i will change my mind and decide to stay in Singapore after all.

-Thank You, Lord, for love. -

Looking past the sky and beyond. /// 4:31 PM

i read somewhere that 'writing makes a person more thoughtful and interesting.'
Well, i don't know about interesting. But penning my thoughts down on this blog is sure making me think about stuff...

came back from tutoring Joyce. she's a really good kid. =)

anw was supposed to be at bukit timah now shooting some pool balls with friends.
But i'm at home, feeling lazy and deep in thought.

It is a cool breezy afternoon. And the flowers of the field have just had a shower in the rain. Outside, the trees seem to be staying absolutely still, as if competing to see who would stay still the longest. Inside, the music is blarring throughout the house, causing whatever particles in the walls to vibrate. Thus heat is given out when two particles collide with each other and the process continues.
alright alright.

Well, the reason i'm home and not out is because my sister needs me to teach her her homework and also, i feel like staying home. the weirdest thing is that im at home yet im missin home. maybe it's cuz i'll be going to Aust this tuesday, so i want to spend more time in the comfort of my home.

sometimes i really wish i have a humongous brain, containing enough brain juices so that i can invent something which allows me to see my family when im overseas.
perhaps a magic luggage?

-Thank You, Lord, for the 'Happy Feet' sweet. -

A bitter silence. /// 12:12 AM

i remembered, when i was once a young kid, after every quarrel with my mum, i would cry myself to sleep. And she would listen to my sobs but she would never say anything nor give me any source of comfort. And hundreds of tears later, i'd go towards her and she would embrace me in her arms and fiddle with my hair saying that it's alright.

But now, it's different. now, i could no longer do that. i could no longer run to my mum after our quarrel and love her all over again and let her cradle me in her arms.

I've grown.
In moments like this, moments of helplessness, i could only keep my tears to myself

and let the pain intensify.

-Thank You, Lord, for a lovely dinner in Orchard with 06S16 today. -

It is an ever-changing and uncertain world. /// 11:53 PM

Are changes inevitable?
Perhaps, this question is common among teens and young adults.
At times, we get afraid and ask ourselves whether have we change?
Who have we become?
Well, I guess this thought would have crossed our minds a couple of times.
We change due to many reasons.
Take for example, the environment around us, the many problems that we face along life's journey, how easily influenced we are.
In short, it's very common for changes to occur in our lives.
It may be easy to tell a close primary sch friend, "hey, you have not changed at all." but if we really think about it, we will definitely notice a change in the person, for example in his or her character, the way he/she solves problems or even in his or her dress sense.
Looking from a different angle,
WE CHANGE because of various 'obstacles' that we have encountered during the many phase of our lives.
They shape us. They mould our character and our way of thinking.
We learn from them and grow.
But it's also important that we become someone who is stronger emotionally and at the same time, continue to hold God's hands and trust Him to lead us into His way. (Isaiah 55:8)
Well, I feel that changes are inevitable.
This is a period where many of us are trying to find ourselves, who we really are. We venture into the unknown, into places we have never dared to step in.
But once all seem alien and distant, we step back. Back into our one true self.
Many people around me have changed i must admit.
But as long as i can STILL see a FAMILIAR part of him/her,
it'll be alright.
33 more days to Christmas!

Colour of Cars. /// 11:11 PM

Im not sure why im really attracted to cars recently. not the brands. but weirdly, the paints of the cars.
i've taken a special liking to a metallic blue one.

anw 06S16 is going kayaking this thursday or friday, but im only joining them for dinner. Reason is cuz i do not dare kayak. it's true. my mum is against my kayaking so she has cunningly tried to scare me by telling me many of her past near-death experiences. And well, she has succeeded.
Furthermore, im afraid of possible creatures that could be lurking beneath those muddy waters, like if i accidentally overturn, then my legs will brush past some fishes and also, i could step on poor little microscopic bacteria. Ouch!

anw, tuition was CRAZY today. actually it has always been. But today, it was like out of the 3 hours of tuition, perhaps 2 hr 30 mins were spent laughing. ok. this has got to stop.

went to marina triangle for dinner today. alright, square. had a great time with sec classmates. were yakking non-stop. there are just 1001 things to catch up on - our lives, movies, well almost everything. loved those times in 4C! =)

i've been eating a lot again today. kelly can witness that. he kept saying that i can eat alot. like for lunch, ate lor mee and TOM YAM cup noodles, and for dinner, ate oily laksa and 1/3 of jiayee's hokkien mee. and cuz i wasnt feeling full, finished up with a bun, whose name is CHEESE BOAT. isnt that cool? even buns have names.

oh no. Tingyou reminded me there's maths lecture tml morning. darn! oh well.

Buona sera

Beneath those tied knots. /// 9:37 PM

I cant live without you.
I simply cannot live without my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. =)

had a dandy time in Vivo with churchmates today. managed to buy those christian books. wheee!

Candy Empire sells the craziest gummies. i could easily spend an hour there just being fascinated by all of wonka's creation and many other wacky inventions. it's real fun!

im kinda disappointed. but i guess it's alright. you'll learn.

A Fear of heights. /// 12:36 AM

Woke up early for a 11km-hike in macritche today! well at first i thought that it'll be the worst nightmare for my legs. but it actually wasnt that bad! on the way, we just chatted and admired God's wonderful creation. saw monkeys, squirrels, lizards of all sizes and the obvious-many different plants. =)

anw it was Jeffrey's birthday today! met up with him, priscilla, shawn and desmond to celebrate his bdae.
went to PS first and then MRT-ed to harbourfront.

playing at the playground at vivocity was really fun. pris and i were sitting on the 'merry-go-round' and guess what?
we were being pushed by many kids. haha. they were like so cute.
i can see them using all their might and strength to push us. and they were really strong! the merry-go-round moved at a kinda fast pace. they were like so innocent and happy, pushing us big kids. it was really comical.

went up the huge cruise by the sea that sold christian books. was fascinated by the many great books up there. it's a pity i'm penniless just now. nvm! i'll go making a trip down again real soon.

haiz. back to sch tomorrow for briefin on the Aust trip.
i just felt like staying home all day.

i dont give a damn.

Love to the blue sea creatures. =) /// 2:33 PM

my keys just did a free fall at 9.81, thanks to my forgetful sis who did not bring her keys with her and so, i've to throw them down from my kitcen window. poor poor keys.

anw, played pool in the late afternoon yest with 06S16. hunting for photos (photohunt) was our usual game again. this time, it got kinda sick. we played with the babes and the guys got so aroused they couldnt concentrate. it was so hilarious!
To the guys: stop touching them ok?

hahaha

then we ate and chat in KFC for dinner.

Get this: i think there are like thousands of little squirmy wriggly worms hiding in my stomach. and those little devils will snatch and gobble up all the food once they slide down the gullet, leaving me with nothing. Simply nothing! that's why im always hungry. Well, that's my scientific theory of hunger.

PLS. stop calling me 'wheel-chair bound'. i dun know where they got these ideas but why is everyone always calling me that?? It's just SO WEIRD.

never mind about that.
anw, going to catch a movie in Vivo soon. geez. cant wait! :D

Ciao

Ms Glutton. /// 3:02 PM

Okay. I sooo love holidays!

My HOLS are divided unequally into a few parts:
1.going out. spending time with friends. laughing playing shopping throwing compliments back and forth.
2.lazing at home. reading novels. couched on the sofa. legs dangling in mid-air. breathing comfortably. entering my own world of who knows what.
3. Overseas! To gorgeous Australia. but the main reason is for a chemistry attachment program. which literally means chemicals-testing, presentations, labs and more labs.
4.thinking
5.dancing. sometime when no one sees, i love twirling or even hip-hopping in the comfort of my home.
sounds crazy? i know. but with music vibrating in my eardrums, i cant seem to stop myself.
Oh! the instruments that contribute to the beautiful music! the voice!

JUST LOVELY.

yay! cant wait for family dinnner later. :)

talking about FOOD,
it's to Sakura tml to celebrate an early bdae for a close friend! HMM. i can practically taste all the pastries and sushi and the worth-savouring-for dishes. Not to mention the mouth-watering sharks' fin (poor sharks) and all the other food delights! Those do-it-yourself icecreams too! HMM.
my stomach's not to be spared. Poor stomach. but it's alright. got to work out those dead cells!

-Thank You, Lord, for Christmas (simply the best festival of all). -

I'm afraid.
What if the whole merry-go-round thing happen again?

this cycle of feelings will never stop, wont it?

guess i'll be going down to the swings for awhile. need to think.

and maybe this time, maybe, i'll just let go.

Funny how the world could shatter around you and all you could do was to ignore.

A montage of happy memories. /// 2:28 PM

Yesterday had been great.

After the chinese Alevels, my class went to IMM and Chevrons to eat and have some fun. Played pool and photohunt in Chevrons. Loved the photohunt session!!! some of us were like crowded over the small machine like some kids who've never seen this game before. was being super enthusiatic and perhaps a little overexcited about it?
who cares anyway! 06S16 team spirit!

got back at jec by 8 plus to meet some secondary sch mates. chilled in West Coast playground, playing almost everything. Junjie was mad anyway. he kept singing songs almost at the top of his voice in a really weird manner. Especially in the middle of the night, this wasn't a really good thing. could scare people. and his hair style got so punk suddenly? said he was trying to be 'xin' in the show "goong''. oh my. seriously.

played the 'flying fox' too! it was damn fun! while sitting on the sit, eugene pulled the string and raced to the other end of the station. it was so fast esp at the end, i seriously felt like i was flying.

perhaps if i just let go, i might fly to the moon.
but that would be crazy. it would be courting death.

and i made it to the top of the pyramid!!! well, almost. just directly right below the silver ball. but it's an achievement already. :) took a whole lot of guts to climb the pyramid and overcome my fear as well.
stayed up there and talked while listening to some band playing and singing in Mac.

learnt magic tricks from zhengliang too! he really cracks me up. :)

oh and daniel's really nice. he kept making sure that cheryl and I are okay. it's really good to have such caring people.

later walked back to JEC. the trail is really scary and long.

i pity my legs. Misused them. But never mind, at least they must have felt useful.
arrived only at 5 plus. played cards and caught the first few trains home.
Reached home at 7 and fell onto my bed straight away.

I was happy.

/// 6:46 PM

I'm saving money for the following reasons:
1. To bring prezzies for friends
2. For the sake of seeing more money in my bank
3. For the Sony camera that i very much wanted
4. To buy a new guitar! (sadly, the strings of my old one have rusted)
5. Expenses for Australia trip
6. To decorate my new room!

Note to self: A trip to Ikea is necessary.

Dear Lord. please give me courage to sing in church this sunday.

-Thank You, Lord, for your amazing love. -
