At the TOP of the world. /// 2:45 PM
Bee-sie.That's one word i'll use to describe this hectic life im having right now. But it's so gonna change cuz i need not teach during the June hols. Let me embrace the holidays with wide open arms!
A godzilla-amount of stuff had happened the past 2 weeks, with me coming home close to midnight every day. My life revolved around tuition, school and vivo city. And guess what.
You can find me in vivo from the the 13th to the 22nd of May, after 8pm to 11 ++ every single day. It's like a second home to me. Perhaps, i should just purchase a bed from Ikea and have it fed-dex to vivo's rooftop, so that i can enjoy the night sky and the beautiful merlion across the sea every night.
Anw, I grew a year older on the 19th of May. But im not sharing the details right now due to insufficient time. Got to meet kltc and jason in PS at 4 and after that, it's cheryl and gang for a buffet dinner at Hotel Rendezvous. Yippee!
Oh and btw, the movie - ' What happened in Vegas' is so darn hilarious. =)
-Thank You, Lord, for friends and buffet dinners. -
A Mother's Love. /// 9:36 PM
Becauseiminsucharushtocelebratejoel'sbirthday,i'lltypeaquickie!
Went to Botanical Garden for a picnic today and it was fantastically sweeeeet.
Sigh. My heart is bursting out of love for you.
hahahahaha that's like so mushy huh.
It's Mummy's day tomorrow.
Am gonna surprise Mum in church by dedicating a song to her. It's called
' A Mother's Work is never done. '
The lyrics goes like this:
She's the first one to rise up in the morning
And the last one to close her eyes at night
And when her babies cry
She walks the floor and holds them tight
Her gentle hands assure them it's alright
Chorus:
A mother's love is faithful always trusting
A mother's love will stand the test of time
When others have their fun
A mother's work is never done
There's not a heart that's big enough to hold a mother' love
She's content to be home with her family
No one knows the sacrifice she makes
She's given up her dreams
For birthdays and ice cream
But she wouldnt have it any other way
Back to chorus
Lord, give me courage to sing in front of the congegration tomorrow!
No wobbly legs pls. :SWill be meeting his parents after church in Royal hotel to celebrate mother's day, i think.
Then it's tuition with joel and after that,
Am gonna treat my mum and sis to yumyumdimsum!!!
Okay.
Poof.
Im Gone.
-Thank You, Lord, for a mother so kind. -
Almost Goodbye. /// 11:25 PM
I am rather disappointed
in you. God almost took me away today.
What happened was that when i was crossing the zebra crossing, one of the vehicles - a lorry, started moving. I immediately took a small step back; and at the same time, he braked too. And because it's quite a huge lorry, it ended up with his side-view-mirror right next to my ear and it was SO CLOSE that i thought that the tires of the lorry would run over my feet.
There were even a few pedestrians who looked really shocked. I myself was quite stunned. But reality of having come so close to an accident hit me only after a few mins, when i've managed to cross to the other side.
I was thinking, if i pass away or sth,
then the last words that i had said to my mum was 'ah, orh, hmm',
the last person i would have talked to on the phone was Tingyou,
the last movie that i would have watched was Ironman,
the last bus that i would have taken was 195,
the last food that i would have eaten was rice, potatoes and sweet-and-sour-pork,
the last words that i would have mentioned to marcus was to tell him that i was getting my Mother's Day present,
the last sms that i would have typed to wanting (aka leilei) was to 'change our meeting day'
the last pieces of clothing that i would have worn (other than funeral wear) was a black top with big sleeves that fall to my elbows and a knee-length-skirt matched with white shoes.
and the last thought on my mind would be 'This is it.'
Today's a busy day.
Taught in the morning,
rushed to get a present for mummy
and later gave 4 hours of tuition.
i'll end of with a random comment made by one of my students in class.
' Eww. Who farted? I can smell someone's fart!'
I was trying to hide my laughter when i heard it.
Wondered who the sneaky culprit was. =P
-Thank You, Lord, for life. -
Happy Birthday pal. /// 11:37 PM
Okay.
Ciyuan will be coming over and after that, we'll head off to wanting's house. We're so gonna give her a surprise birthday visit!
Her birthday is in 20 mins time and i bet a million dollars that she has totally no clue what we'll about to do. After all, the last time we celebrated one another's birthday on the day itself, was in primary school!
haha hopefully she's not asleep yet if not our plans will be foiled.
-Thank You, precious Lord. -
Frozen Desert. /// 11:39 PM
Was just talking to Marcus on the phone and he sounded really sick, as if he has no more energy (E = mc square) left in his body. Sighh.
How i spent my Labour Day:
Woke up in Amara hotel today and the first thing i noticed was the unusual surroundings. Took me a few seconds to remember that it was Marcus' dad who had booked the room and last night, Marcus, his bros and I slept over there. We reached the hotel around 12 plus and started the night by watching a movie (in which we came well-prepared with a DVD player and DVDs). However, not long after the movie started, i found myself heading off to dreamland with Mary and her little lamb.
Went to town in the noon to get formal wear for Marcus for his NTU interview this coming Monday, after which, we walked to the National Museum to sightsee. It was rather interesting, especially those live galleries which portray different aspects of Singapore varying from the traditional costumes to my favourite section, FOOD! hahaha.
Headed back to the hotel in the evening where we spent our time exploring the hotel and i must say that the pool is really amazing. Lovely architecture design! =D Met up with his family after that, whereby we sneaked Subway's sandwiches into the room and managed to catch the ending of 'Dodgeball'. :)
Good News! I'm accepted into NUS' Arts and Social Science and NTU's psychology!
Praise the Lord! =)))))))))))))))))))))))))))Initially, when my mum called to tell me the news, she started off by TRYING to 'lie' to me, saying that i got rejected. But after a few seconds, she couldnt contain her excitement and told me the truth. Tell you man. I was so relieved and overjoyed that i kept jumping up and down, right in front of the ice-cream man at the Macdonald counter.
But who cares.
I got in!
Dear Lord, if it's your will, please allow my friends to enter the course and Uni of their choices too. Thank you and I love you so dearly.-Thank You, Lord, for your guidance. -
