This afternoon, I bought bread with a rich layer of cheese and egg mayo (your fav) because it tasted so good and the first person who came to my mind was you. Although it was nothing significant, I thought that it'd be a pleasant little surprise to spur you on for the rest of the day. Grinning to myself, I purchased it from the counter, hoping to catch you sometime today despite the hectic schedule I have - the busiest day of the week.
Time passed really slowly during the first lecture of the day and I kept glancing down at the digital clock on the iphone, tapping my feet and wishing time would hurry by. I needed to deliver it asap, as i knew that you would most probably skip lunch because you had too stuff to do. Besides, I couldn't wait to see your expression, that familiar smile lighting up your face.
The surprise ended up in the bin.
Ironically, you were too busy the entire day.

Stewards of time /// 10:18 PM
What we discussed during topical session today can be summed up in two verses found in Ephesians 5:16-17:
'Look carefully how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.'

Dear Lord /// 11:25 PM
Whatever the outcome may be tmr, however serious (or not) the situation is, I trust You Lord and may I be used to bring glory to Your name :)
I give my all to you
Send me and i will go for you
To the ends of the earth
I'll follow after you
I want the world to know
Your love endures forever
Tell me and i'll obey
This is far greater than sacrifice
Trusting you and not myself
Will always lead to blessing
Lord have your way in me
Not my will, yours be done
Here i stand within your presence
Longing for your touch
A thousand days cannot compare
To one day in your courts
Hold me now
And never ever let me go
My jesus, my precious saviour
I'm forever yours
I will worship you forever
I will worship you
So be it.
Missing a sister /// 1:30 AM

Think, Wait and Love before you speak
Are our words like
(1) a scorching fire
- words without much worth/value
- spreading malicious gossip
- full of discontent
- getting what we want through unscrupulous means
or
(2) a fountain of life?
- refreshing
- true
- helpful
- inspiring
- necessary
- kind
There are always 2 options for every word that is being uttered. We can either speak without thinking and regret our choice of words later on or we can think before speaking and be doing so, turn away wrath and folly.
Speaking the right words at the wrong time can have adverse consequences.
But the right words at the right time strengthens a person.
Note: Love one another according to the standard that Jesus has set for me.
For a r/s to survive, its not just how loving both are, but also how they carefully choose their words

How to make a Cockroach Trap /// 10:56 PM
Caution: Be warned. This post is only for those who have nothing better to do....
5 easy steps on how to make a Cockroach Trap
(for those who are more timid)
Items needed:
- a target
- an old dusty magazine
- post-it note (optional)
Skills needed:
- Accurate estimation
- Good eye-to-hand coordination
Simple Steps:
1. Find your mother's magazine and blow the dust off
2. Tiptoe towards Target and position the magazine above it
3. Take aim and release
4. Wait/Call for help
BUT if it's late at night and everyone's asleep, an additional step is required.
5. Stick a post-it note on the magazine and it'll be magically cleared when you wake up tomorrow.
Before you insult my credibility,
I've been there and done that last night so it's proven to work!
Refer to example (fig 1.1. and 1.2) below.
fig 1.1
(btw, check out the year of the mag! it's ancient.)
fig 1.2
There you go, 5 simple steps to making your house one step closer to being a pest-free place!
Note: By doing so, you are killing two birds with one stone, as your mother will have no choice but is forced to throw that magazine away instead of keeping it on the shelf for the next few years.

Dustmites, off you go /// 5:04 PM
Instead of reading articles, I've been spending 1/4 of the day finding for baking recipes as well as watching youtube videos on how to bake cakes.
Now that my lovely mum has bought a new convection oven for me, I should set aside some $$ to invest on essential baking equipment. I shall find one day next week to shop for ingredients, tools and start getting to work!
Molten lava chocolate cake coming up!:)
Shall ask Ms Baking Choo for advice later too!

Purpose of life /// 12:48 AM
If we are not creatures made by and related to God, we are cosmic accidents.
Our origin is insignificant and so is our destiny.
If we emerge from the slime by accident and finally disintegrate into a void or abyss of nothingness, then we live our lives between two poles of absolute meaninglessness.
We are peeled zeroes, stripped naked of dignity and worth.
Without God, I am nothing.
Nil, zip, nada, zero.
