It was an incredible night.

What initially started out as a night of innocence turned out to be just the beginning of one of the most adventurous night ever.

Lets trace out the path taken:

Starting point somewhere @ Bukit Timah, and following that, it was Journey to the South to drop off someone who needed to study for her exams tmr. That was when the real adventure started.

West @ 11-12 plus
Took the wheel and drove around Hillview, Chestnut Drive and some ulu place at Bukit Panjang where we spotted a couple making out in a car.

North @ 12 -1 plus
Headed to ChompChomp for icecream but it was a futile attempt as most of the shops were closed

South/Central @ 2-3 plus
Hunted for good food at Geylang and ended up in a small petite shop selling healthy desserts. Had a few eye-opening experiences there as well.

East @ 3-4 plus
Had a disappointing view of planes at Terminal 3. Despite straining our eyes to decipher any outline of airplanes and the famous A380, we were only greeted by our own reflections. And the skytrain would only be activated at 5 am so we ended up exploring Terminal 3 which by the way, was the ultimate of what you call spacious and just being right there gave me the urge to just purchase a ticket to somewhere, far far away.

Home sweet home

And i woke up at a record-breaking time of 2 plus pm. :)

I should seriously consider filming the video "Around Singapore in one night". ha well, that was of course, an exaggerating statement but nonetheless, it still contained an element of truth.

Thinking back, the past few days have been fantastic, due to birthday celebrations with loved ones :)))), stayover with wanling, meeting up with aunts for buffet at irodori, with my godmum for high tea in a jap restaurant in velocity and accompanying her to Mt. E for checkup, shopping at taka, went to visit my tutee's grandad at Mt Avenue Hospice + his condition seemed to be improving, going on a date with marcus...


however
it all felt like an age away. Like i was in another different world.



What is life actually? Is it having so many activities and many more to come that give one the satisfaction of a life well-lived? Re-reading my post, I wondered how am I reflecting God's love in this life of mine?

Alright, got to start being a daughter and do something productive. Let me start with washing the clothes. :)

I didnt know holidays can be so tiring!!!

Having 3-5 hours of sleep the past few nights has caused a living zombie to emerge out of self. Just came back from a night at the museum 2 and it was okay. Perhaps my expectations were just too high.

Anw, i wanna thank everyone who had:
-sent their birthday wishes via sms/phone(esp those who made the effort at midnight and not forgetting those who woke me from my deep slumber in the morning)/facebook/face-to-face
-spent time making/shopping for cards and gifts
-organised birthday celebrations
-taken time to spend my sweet 20th

A big large gigantic heartfelt THANK YOU to all.

Something terribly silly happened after lunch. A hole the size of an overgrown fingernail appeared in my black stockings and it was so glaring that i bought a new one after all thoughts of using a black marker to colour the hole diminished. Mentioned this to the girls and instead of sympathizing, another round of laughter emerged. :(

Holidays are joyous occasions!

Bought my first pair of wedges (heels, not food) during the weekends and it's so lovely! It's navy-blue and has a ribbon on it. Marcus' mum loved them so much that she immediately went to try them on! :) Got self a torquoise wallet as well cuz edges of old roxy wallet (so secondary sch) had alrdy disintegrated. Ew.

Clothes galore for the past few days and im TOTALLY $$-less now with a dead phone. :(

Ate like a PIG on Mother's Day! Went for Jap dinner (1st) with Joanna (childhood friend of mine) after which, came home straight to have a scrumptious feast; a variety of food (2nd) bought back by Mum and then, Marcus' mum fetched me to Temasek Club to celebrate Mother's Day + Joel's Birthday with (3rd) dinner of 6-course meal! Got him a pair of earphones, which his brother had so sweetly chosen for him. Well, another round of membrane-lining of stomach expanding.

Supper at the famous 24-hr prata shop two nights ago and i was just so glad to see Cheryl and Daniel again :) Though Daniel had a back operation (due to car accident) not too long ago, Fearless Him still drove everywhere he goes. He showed us his 4 ultra-long stitches despite our refusals and the sight of them really scares me. Dear Lord, do work Your healing power on him and allow him to witness Your amazing grace once again!

Yesterday, supported my sister for her match (semifinals: ACJC against VJC) with Tingyou and there were many nail-biting moments! One of the most exciting/scariest match I've ever witnessed as the scores were so close in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th match and it was then that i finally knew what heart-in-mouth meant. Went to Essential Brews @ Holland V after that where I really had a great time with tintin, just snacking on finger bites and having heart-to-heart talks. :)

Ciyuan came over around 9 odd last night and i sent her my regards cuz she will be going to China for some exchange thingy for this extra mod that she's taking. She was feeling kinda stressed as she had to collate her experience with her groupmates and present them to professors from all faculties in SMU in a month's time. Ehh. What's the purpose of holidays?

Woke up at 7.45 today (after snoozing for 30 mins as usual) and headed to CCK to give tuition. Joyce will be sitting for her english mid-term paper in the noon and im so pinning my hopes on her to score above 95 and top the class again. :) She's such a brillant student with lots of potential!

Had my haircut in orchard after that and now im home! Gotta prepare for Singspiration this Sunday - loads of stuff to do and will be heading to Alexandra for yumyum Zi Ca for dinner around 5 and then, it's movie-screening session in my house. Cant wait!

On a concluding note:

I read something interesting in Cure for the Common Life by Max Lucado. It says,

"In 1900 the average person living in the United States wanted 72 different things and considered 18 of them essential. Today the average person wants 500 things and considers 100 of them essential."

Dont let the itch for things derail you from your God-intended design.

Byebye exams and hello FUN.

Feels so weird staying home on a sunny saturday afternoon, where the weather is lovely; just the perfect time to hang out with loved ones. BUT im locking myself at home in a bid to concentrate on my FTT which will commence this coming monday and i havent really started studying for it. Not a surprise if i fail.

Exams ended on thursday and time after that has been WELL SPENT!
:)caught movies with angie wanting and tingyou,
:)shopped like it's MEGA SALES period with dear wanling,
:)went for youth fellowship,
:)watched my sis' volleyball matches (which by the way, was ultra exciting and i felt a surge of pride everytime she scored!) with angie and jiahao,
:)fine dining with angie and my sis (to reward her for match well-played)
:)gym-ed NOT (ended up a failed attempt),
:)and finally, time with marcus my love (oh how mushy)

one word -
FREEDOM.
