Kua Kua Kua /// 12:54 PM

DINNER WITH JOEL AND MELVIN was enjoyable! :)

Congrats to the both of them for their more-than-excellent scores. God has been wonderful!

Went to Tiong Bahru park after dinner where we played the merry-go-round, swings and melvin kept trying to have some turns on one kind of swings which can bring him from Position A to B. Totally looked like a little kid and i think he was kinda high or sth, then he kept letting out these loud bursts of laughter and excitement, which disrupted those elderly folks nearby who were doing their taichi or meditation of some sort. HA.

Sitting on the swings were fun too! Been ages since i last sat on one. Revived past memories. :)

After that, we sat down in one of the carriages of the train-shaped playground and shared quite a bit of the activities and stuff that we are facing. Poured my heart out bout a few of struggles i've been facing and also shared stuff about current events in my life. Was glad that Melvin enjoyed his four-month-long attachment in Manchester and was quite envious he spent close to $2000 alone on shopping! WOW. Also, hope that Joel can make it into NIE and fulfil his dream: to become a principal. thanks for the encouragement too :)

We were like laughing our heads off the entire time and Joel was almost ROFL. Joel said he had never split his sides cracking up so hard before cuz he was just amused at the way Melvin and I kept bickering about almost every other thing. Was kinda fixated on the way Melvin was always restless and kept making Joel and I so entertained at the actions and some things he said. I hope you dont mean it, Melvin. haha.

Guess some things will never really change, wont it?

Dearly miss the times in secondary school!
Am really thankful for the both of them, wanling and gang, cheryl and gang, snow white and gang, All
who mean a lot to me.

Well, am leaving for school now and i wont be back tonight. The next event to look forward to: Chalet tonight!

-Thank You, Lord, for understanding when no one can. -

Bona fide /// 10:57 PM

Psychology is driving me insane :((((
the urge to give up is so real

Realised that i'll be meeting quite a few of my secondary school friends this week!
In the afternoon, caught up with Jason who wanted me to bring him to University Hall to hand in his application and had a great chat over desserts at Munchie Monkey's :)

Gonna meet Joel and Melvin at Griller, Tiong Bahru tmr for dinner. Been a loooooong time since we last met up. Looking forward to it! :)

And a chalet with Cheryl and gang to start the weekend! :) Heard that there will be the usual NIGHT WALK again. Could still remember the last night walk which was rather scary cuz it was total darkness and we couldnt really like see anything. To make things worse, the guys who planned it, purposely split the girls into two teams. Would like to make a wish: Please allow me to be in Daniel's group cuz he's so nice, unlike Junjie who will always try to scare us. Cross my fingers and hopefully, they wont start telling ghost stories for the entire night again.
Perhaps i should go begin my packing now by finding for my earplugs.

-Thank You, Lord, for daily devotions, for quiet time spent with you.

My left leg looks like it's suffering from Chicken Pox.
It has like 7 outrageous mosquito bites which seem to be constantly saying
"Look at me! Look at me!"

How sad.

1.27 am - In Jiahao's car, with Angie on our way to Holland V :)

(see how far the tail of the car is, from the white line. hee.)

What an exciting night! He drove us to Holland V, and by then, most of the shops were closed, save for a coffee shop. Changed plans and our new destination: Dempsey Hill. Ben N Jerry's closed as well so, walked into quite a classy western restaurant with a huge plasma screen and a live jazz band, and all of us were just clad in casual top, shorts and slippers. BUT when we took a look at their menus, our jaws dropped and we walked out. $9 bucks for a salad?? Who would pay so much to eat salad for supper??? Though they had served us appetizers(free :P), we hesitantly got our butts off the seats and decided to head elsewhere, somewhere more relaxing and "cheap".

Angie decided to take the wheel and that activated the "fear" sensory in Hoyin and I, who instantly strapped on the seatbelts and held on to the handles. Hoyin even put his legs against the front seats, cuz our lives were at risk. (hahaha!) Thankfully, she only drove a few metres and return the driver's seat to jiahao, causing hoyin to unstrap his seatbelt and put his legs down again. HAHA. poor angie!

Plan 3 brought us to the front of 7-eleven, where we bought a couple of sandwiches and drinks and headed to our final destination - Marina Barrage. Got lost a couple of times and it was hilarious. haha. But managed to make our way there by 3 plus, and surprisingly, the carpark was quite packed still.

Taking in the beautiful Singapore Flyer and the CBD districts in front of us, we chatted and munched under the starless sky. It was a tranquil moment for me; a break from the chaos and stress that is piling from assignments, projects and tests. But good stuff always come with a price. Mosquitoes surrounded us like bees and honey and i returned home with a few more mosquito bites. :(

i like this photo. :)

Met with Angie and Jiahao for church in the morning after our little night's rest and im so thankful that none of us knocked out during the sermon today. :)

merci pour une telle nuit merveilleuse!

/// 9:41 PM

Studied with wanting in town yesterday! It's been eeon years since i last saw her. like ever since 31st Jan? hahaha okay. it just felt like a looooooong time. Am so glad we got a chance to catch up and study too! Miss you!

Met up with Samantha in vivo after that and we just had a great time chatting and shopping. Bought a top from forever 21 and there's this cardigan, skirt and bag in mango which im eyeing. Trying to get mum to see the light in buying those delicious-looking clothes!

And something terrible might have happened yesterday.
After our movie which ended at 11.30 last night, i contemplated cabbing home but decided against it and took a bus instead. And there was this pervertic-looking man who alighted with me. Not a soul was in sight and feeling slightly paranoid, I allowed him to walk first. Strangely, he kept stealing short glances behind his shoulders and his pace slowed tremendously. After a few seconds, he adjusted his sandals and started walking like slower than SLOW. Sensing something fishy going on, i made sure that i was always behind him
so i got to like really w.a.l.k s...u...p...e...r s.......l.......o........w........l........y.

At the junction, he suddenly squatted and adjusted his sandals again. Realising that i couldnt just like stand behind him and waited for him to proceed, just took the left lane and walked on cautiously. Then immediately, he stood up and headed towards the left lane too. Feeling frightened, i stopped in my tracks, fumbled for my phone in my bag(though it already had no battery) and pretended to call someone. Having no choice, he walked a few paces ahead and worse still, kept glancing back. Since it was late and the area was totally dark and remote, i got really really scared and started heading back towards the bus stop.

Just then, the shuffling of his footsteps stopped but could hear some slight activity going on, just that he wasnt in my view anymore. Things were getting weirder by the moment.

Suspecting that he was hiding behind one of the vehicles, i hurried to the main road(still quite deserted) where impulsively, i flagged an oncoming cab, which drove around the estate and sent me home. Paid like 5 bucks for the fare when i could have just gotten home in 3 mins' time. :(

Perhaps i was too paranoid, but better to be safe than sorry, you see.

-Thank You, Lord, for a nice taxidriver. -

Oh Bother. /// 11:01 PM

Last night, I dreamt that all classes were cancelled for the next few weeks due to further investigation of the deaths of the Uni students & officer. I can still vividly remember how surprised i was upon hearing the announcement. It's like a reoccurrence of the Sars period whereby we were all so glad at not having to go sch during the next couple of days. But then i woke up, and realised that all of it was just a dream. :(

Marcus came along for housewarming at Aunt's new house last Sat! This is the second time he met my relatives. Spent time with my cousins, aunts and uncles and also looked through my aunt's wedding and honeymoon photos. Hokkaido! :)

And sickeningly, for dinner, i ate:
4 plates of salad
3 pieces of chicken wings
1 plate of spaghetti
2 plates of penne with sauce
2 smaller scoops of penne with thousand island sauce
2 bowls of cocktail
3 tiramisu cakes
*and the plates are like buffet-size

...

Welcome to my life.

Rain or shine. /// 10:53 PM

For the past few days, the weather has been totally unpredictable.

Sometimes, i'd melt.
Sometimes, i'd freeze.

Is it the result of Mr Weatherman's indecisiveness,
Or does it just signify that the end of the world is approaching?

Led in Worship this morning and im thankful that it went pretty well. :)

Have been facing some spiritual struggles recently, whereby those teachings that i've holding on to since young, are being challenged by new "truths". It made praying really hard for me and i got extremely frustrated cuz i was in a state of confusion and doubt.

But in today's message,
Matthew 11:28-30 reminded me once again that i can just leave my burdens to Jesus, who have offered to carry them selflessly.

Thank you, Jesus. THANK YOU, JESUS!

-Thank You, Lord, for Your love in my life. -

Eating an apple. /// 8:54 PM

Have fixed a date with the dentist to get the REMAINING of my stitches removed.

REMAINING cuz one of the stitches broke while i was eating big juicy crunchy grapes few days ago. :(

Anw, back to the past, church camp has been a blast!
The games were rather creative and made new friends! Reverend Jimmy Tan was really engaging that even his 3-hours lecture didnt bore me a single bit. Had a lecture about counselling too; did quizzes, group discussion and all. Was slightly confused about God's calling though. Have to pray more about that. Got to know this new friend, Samantha and we had so much stuff to talk 'bout that we stayed up the entire night. Became two zombies the next day.

Really hope to continue keeping in touch with the friends made. :)

Valentine's Day was an expensive one though.
Mostly restaurants, a movie and night safari. Oh well. Marc complained that i put too much stress on him. Sorry Love. Honestly, i do not mind simple plans like leisure walks in the park and all. and i'd rather inexpensive ones too. :)

And btw, "Slumdog Millionnaire" is as good as "The case of Benjamin Burton".

- Thank You, Lord, for spiritual books. -
