Dark rings /// 9:51 AM

Just came back from a stayover at Marc's!

Went to visit Daniel after school yest, but he was asleep. Had quite an interesting chat with his mum, who is really nice!

Then around 8 plus last night, when i was on MSN with Wanting and Joel, phone rang. Switched off the com, got dressed and went down to wait for a nissan car.

It brought me to Temasek Club where Marc's family and I supported Nicholas and Joel in their badminton tournament and GOOD NEWS! Both defeated their opponents :) The funny thing is that they would be competing against each other today! The Fight of the Brothers in the finals. i doubt they will treat it seriously. Past experience (2008) told me so.

His dad ordered pizzas and chicken drumlets after that and delivery man arrived at 10.30! Tried new selection of pizzas (yumyum) and we went on to watch Wolverine, which was only 2.99/5, sad to say.

Marc fell asleep towards the end of the show (he was really tired from planning his squad's outing which was held yesterday in East Coast) and since we were supposed to sleep in the living room and the rest of us were still quite awake, we ended up telling jokes and guessing riddles till we knocked out. Some of the riddles were so funny! They went like this:

"Why did the chicken cross the road?"

Because the green chicken was flashing. (this was rather lame)

"Why did the green pea cross the road?"

BECAUSE THE CHICKEN ATE IT FOR LUNCH. (therefore it was digested in its stomach)

"Why did the chewing gum cross the road?"

BECAUSE IT WAS STUCK ONTO THE CHICKEN'S FOOT.

And it went on...

"Why did the sheep cross the road?"

Because it wanted to find the chicken.

"Why did the wolf cross the road?"

Because the wolf was in a sheep's clothing.

And on and on...

"Why did Mary cross the road?"

Because the green man was walking.

"Why did a lamb cross the road?" (i made this up)

Because it followed Mary to school one day. (lyrics of Mary had a little lamb!)

And the list just went on and on and on. Had quite a laugh over all these silly jokes. :))

Okay. im so gonna start studying now.
Something to look forward to tonight: Celebrating Wanting's and Gabriel's birthday at Arts House! Woot.

-Thank You, Lord, for godly men who desire to follow You wholeheartedly. -

Thorns that became blood. /// 10:57 PM

I love the artistic design of this. My new tray!

My new antique telephone! :)

- Thank You, Lord, for friendship with You. -

I love that old self. /// 10:34 PM

I treasure the times
when im reading the Word of God, allowing His words to sink in

I treasure the times
when We are together, taking long strolls at night in the park

I treasure the times
when Mum sits beside me as im playing the piano and she starts singing along and her beautiful voice will just fill the air and out of the window :)

I treasure the times
when i was a child and the sound of my dad's boisterous laughter would pierce the silence - a reminder of his presence

I treasure the times
when im with my close friends, as we build friendships that last

I treasure the times
when im alone, as the Music revolves around me and the lyrics linger on

I treasure the times,
when the world and its busyness races past me, leaving me behind...

Surrender my All. /// 11:08 PM

What does it mean to surrender WHOLEHEARTEDLY?

C.S. Lewis reminds me that, "The more we let God take over, the more truly ourselves we become - because He made us."

I havent been letting God take complete control of my life! Many obstacles have stood in the way; large boulders and rocks that i've to overcome - Fear, confusion, acceptance, material goods, personal ambitions etc.

But nothing is too impossible with God by my side!

The finest example of self-surrender is JESUS CHRIST!
He died on the cross and surrendered His life, to be used fully by God, so that we can be saved and to receive the greatest gift of eternal life and finally, to be reconciled with our Father-in-Heaven. Although Jesus was suffering a great deal of pain before the crucifixion that He sweat drops of blood, He still continued to pray fervently about it.

Jesus said, "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me." - Luke 9:23

Allow me to surrender every aspect of my life to You, Jesus!
I want to bask in Your love and be transformed into Your likeness.
Yay!

Ignorance. /// 1:14 AM

Watched "Confessions of a Shopaholic" with Cheryl, Eugene and Junjie in the evening and i'd rate it a 3/5. It's just another typical chick flick. Had a few rounds of bridge after that.
Great company, with all the nonsense and relaxing atmosphere. :)

Ciyuan came over thereafter and she just left not too long ago actually. Wanted to rehearse for her smu business management's presentation which would commence this friday and it was kinda fun! Presented on singaporeans speaking singlish and i had to control my laughter the entire time cuz she was trying to look all serious and persuasive. Loveeeeee the fact that i have close friends staying nearby so that meeting up isnt too much of a problem.

Oh, and chalet last weekend was great! The highlight of the night was pictionary mania, which relied greatly on our puppeting, drawing, directing skills. Damn fun!
Had quite a laugh over all the silly actions and weird drawings i.e. cecilia's car when she drew it with both eyes closed and her having to use cheryl as a puppet to guess the word - "grasshopper". Gosh. that got loads of irrelevant, corny comments which totally cracked everyone up. And eugene is such a pro at this game man. Could totally guess majority of the words even though the drawings were quite CMI.
Thankfully, we didnt go for nightwalk due to the infestation of big crawlie ants on the steps leading into the trail. Upon realisation, that got us running down the steps, and jumping really madly on the road. Ew. Not our most dignified moment.

Pictures! :)

Ceci, Cheryl, Coy

Cheryl wants to save the world with her "global" shirt

Help! Cheryl, the evil Mojojojo is all ready with her machinegun

Taken captive! No time to fumble for pokemon balls in pocket

Silly gestures and bad drawings make it enjoyable :)

Does it tickle?

Eugene guiding Ceci's hands in drawing

Despite all the entertainment, I pronounce self guilty.
Where have all the motivation and discipline to study gone to?

-Thank You, Lord, for Your faithful love. -
